Granada: Our one year anniversary

April 15th marks our one year anniversary of living in Granada. Anniversaries, for me, punctuate how impermanent life and our experiences are. In my old life I would say, "Wow another year went by." or "It seems just like yesterday..." Back then, living life at the speed of light had it's advantages but it seemed to have put my experiences into a time warp. In fact, Elise used to explain how her life felt like she was living in a fog. For Elise and I, one of our most cherished aspects of slowing our lives down, is that it really does feel like we are able to live our days more fully. My daughter, Sierra, said it best two and a half  years ago, "Time is all we have." She was right, time is all we have and I am so glad we found a way to share our 365s while we were still young enough to enjoy them.
I hope that everyone reading this, can find a way to slow down and enjoy their time with those whom they love. I'll finish with this wonderful quote, "Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present."
