We left Banos yesterday for Cuenca. We enjoyed Banos a lot, and for a small town, it really does offer a great possibility for a good living for many expats. We did feel a little uneasy being right below an active volcano, in the lower part of the valley though. Other than that we enjoyed the town and the surroundings very much.
